Newcastle United Agrees Anthony Elanga Transfer from Nottingham Forest

According to ESPN, Newcastle United has reached an agreement with Nottingham Forest for the transfer of Anthony Elanga worth £55 million.

The Swedish winger joined Forest from Manchester United two years ago — since then he has shown consistency with 82 total appearances for the club.

Last season proved impressive for Elanga — he featured in all 38 Premier League matches as Forest narrowly missed out on Champions League qualification.

Moving to Newcastle would open Champions League opportunities for Elanga, as The Magpies finished fifth last season. This transfer is also seen as a positive signal for Newcastle to retain their star player Alexander Isak — who partners with Elanga in the Swedish national team.
