New Malaysia U-23 coach reveals targets ahead of ASEAN Cup 2025

According to Harian Metro, Nafuzi Zain has been appointed as Malaysia U-23 national team coach for the ASEAN Cup U-23 2025 — a tournament scheduled to take place in Indonesia in mid-July.

The competition will be held at two different venues:

• Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi
• Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta

Malaysia U-23 national team is drawn in Group A — alongside Indonesia, Philippines, and Brunei Darussalam.

The former Kedah coach faces his first challenge leading the national team.

“Of course the atmosphere is different when handling the national team,” said Nafuzi Zain.
