Prediksi Belanda vs Denmark di Kejuaraan Eropa U-21 (16.06.2025)

In the early hours of Monday, June 16 at 02:00 WIB, the U-21 national teams of the Netherlands and Denmark will face off at the 1. FC Tatran Stadium in Prešov in the second round of Group D at the 2025 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. In the opening round, the Dutch drew 2–2 with Finland, while Denmark claimed a dramatic 3–2 comeback victory over Ukraine.

Ahead of the Netherlands vs Denmark clash, bookmakers favor the Dutch youth side. A win for the “Oranje” is priced at 1.60, a draw at 4.35, and a Danish win at 5.10. Football analysts expect a high-scoring encounter between the Group D favorites: over 2.5 goals is offered at 1.57, and both teams to score is at 1.62.

Netherlands

In their opening match against Finland, Michael Reiziger’s team completely failed to show up in the first half and only kicked into gear in the second. The man of the match was Groningen’s Luciano Valente, who came on at halftime and played as a left forward. He scored one goal and provided one assist. The other goal was scored by AZ Alkmaar’s Ernest Poku, who entered the pitch in the 65th minute.

The dropped points were certainly unexpected. The Netherlands had comfortably won all 10 of their qualifiers, with a goal difference of 32:3. Yet here, they conceded two goals in the first half alone. The coaching staff will need to ensure the “Oranje Juniors” start strong, as this game against Denmark is a decisive one in the group.

Denmark

Steffen Højer’s side also struggled in the first half against Ukraine. However, in the second half, they dominated the game, equalized, and despite conceding another unnecessary goal, came back to win. The substitutions made by the coach were highly effective. William Osula from Newcastle United and Clement Bischoff from Brøndby both scored after coming on in the final half-hour. Denmark’s youth team tends to play based on momentum. In fact, their only qualifying defeat came against group outsiders Iceland, losing 2–4.

Stats and Head-to-Head Record

These two sides have not met at the U-21 level in over 15 years.

Prediction

In the first round, both coaches demonstrated they have strong bench depth. At any point, they can significantly boost their attacking power. Having such a long and high-quality bench is a major asset. We expect a dynamic and attacking match and recommend a bet on both teams to score, priced at 1.62.
