Navi’s MPL ID Season Ends in Historic Winless

The ‘debutant’ Navi has concluded their Regular Season of MPL ID S15 with the disappointing outcome many had predicted over the past two weeks: a complete failure to secure a single victory.

By Week 7, Navi had already sunk to the bottom of the standings, mathematically eliminated from playoff contention due to a massive point deficit against the other eight teams. They soon shifted their focus to end their last two weeks on a positive note and salvage their reputation in MPL ID.

Unfortunately, their strategies failed to match their goals. Weeks 8 and 9 were marred by consecutive losses to Geek Fam, Evos, and RRQ Hoshi, highlighting a glaring skill gap. Navi’s resistance proved futile, and they ended their season with a dismal 0-16 record—the worst in the league.

A new low since 2022

This result cements Navi’s place in MPL ID’s infamous “hall of shame,” joining four other teams notorious in the Indonesian and Southeast Asian MLBB community.

This marks the first time since mid-2022 (Season 9) that a team has finished the Regular Season without a win. Navi also becomes the third franchise-era team to achieve this unwanted feat, following Geek Fam (Season 9) and Aura Fire (now Team Liquid ID, Season 7).

Other teams with winless campaigns include Saints Indo (Season 3) and Team Capcorn (Season 2). However, these earlier cases drew less attention, as MPL ID’s popularity surged only after Season 4, when the franchise system was introduced.

It would be a good move for Navi to consider a complete rebuild ahead of Season 16. After all, major overhaul in team structure and roster composition is essential to compete against stronger, more established rivals.
