The VCT EMEA 2025 Stage 1 group stage witnessed a huge surprise as NaVi demolished GiantX with a flawless 13-0 victory—the first shutout of its kind in the league’s three-year history.

The clash which was a part of Week 3’s Group A sets (April 9) saw NaVi enter as a favorite. However, few anticipated the sheer scale of their triumph. Despite GiantX’s early fight—claiming Game 1 on Fracture 13-9—NaVi countered decisively on Pearl with a 13-7 win, setting the stage for a shocking finale on Split.

What followed was a masterclass in precision. NaVi dismantled GiantX in a merciless 13-0 rout, with not a single player of NaVi finishing with a negative KDA. Leading the charge was the team’s sentinel Emirhan “hiro” Kat, who dominated the decisive game with a jaw-dropping 20 kills and just 2 deaths, cementing his performance as one of the series’ strongest displays.

The result sent shockwaves through the VCT EMEA community. No team had suffered such a lopsided defeat since Fnatic’s infamous 13-0 dismantling of OG LDN on Icebox during the 2022 Stage 2 group phase.
