National Sports Festival 2025 ready to be held in NTB with 12,000 participants

Ibnu Riza Pradipto, Chairman of the 2025 FORNAS Organizing Committee, announced the readiness for the National Community Sports Festival (FORNAS) VIII — an event that will take place in West Nusa Tenggara from July 26 to August 1, 2025.

This biennial mass sports event will feature more than 12,000 sports enthusiasts from 37 provinces in Indonesia. The festivities will be spread across several NTB regions — including Mataram City, Central Lombok, West Lombok, East Lombok, Sumbawa, and West Sumbawa.

“Despite the relatively short time, all committee elements, including the NTB Provincial Government, have prepared well,” stated Ibnu during a press conference at the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports Media Center, Senayan, Jakarta.

FORNAS 2025 not only emphasizes competition aspects — the event also prioritizes fitness values, togetherness, cultural preservation, and sports-based tourism development.
