Nathan Tjoe-A-On to Play Alongside Australian National Team Defender

According to Bolasport.com, Indonesian national team left-back Nathan Tjoe-A-On is set to welcome a familiar rival as teammate — Australian national team defender Cameron Burgess who will join Swansea City.

The two players previously faced each other in Group C of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers Asian zone — where Indonesia and Australia are locked in tight competition for advancement to the next round.

In their recent two meetings between the teams, the results were contrasting — Indonesia managed to hold Australia to a 0-0 draw in Jakarta, but suffered a heavy 5-1 defeat in Sydney.

Burgess, who previously played for recently relegated Ipswich Town from the Premier League, played full 180 minutes in both matches against Indonesia. Meanwhile, Tjoe-A-On has already been established at Swansea City in the Championship.
