Nathan Tjoe-A-On is facing challenging times — the 23-year-old player now rarely gets playing opportunities at both Swansea City and the Indonesia national team.

After an impressive performance as a central midfielder leading Indonesia to the U-23 Asian Cup semifinals last year, his situation has changed dramatically — he has been absent from Swansea’s last eight Championship matches.

Tjoe-A-On’s last appearance for The Swans came about seven months ago — he played briefly in the Championship and two Carabao Cup matches. Position differences present another challenge — Swansea deploys him as a left-back, unlike his role with the Indonesia national team.

Now during the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, Tjoe-A-On must prove his capabilities to coach Patrick Kluivert to regain trust and playing time.
