NASCAR Playoff Race Heats Up for Final 4 Spots in 2025

With five races remaining before the 2025 NASCAR Cup Playoff, the competition for the final four playoff spots is heating up. Twelve drivers have already locked in their places with race wins this season, but there’s still room for others to join the championship hunt.

Tyler Reddick currently leads the non-winner playoff hopefuls with a 156-point cushion, putting him in a relatively safe position — unless four new winners emerge in the remaining five races.

Close behind, Alex Bowman of Hendrick Motorsports sits 63 points above the cut-off line, buoyed by consistent form and multiple recent top-five finishes.

Further down the line, Chris Buescher of RFK Racing (+44 points) and Bubba Wallace (+16 points) hold the final two spots for now, but their positions are far from secure. A single bad result could open the door for challengers.

Just outside the cut-off, Ryan Preece (-16 points) has made a strong case with seven straight top-20 finishes, showing the consistency needed to climb. Meanwhile, Kyle Busch (-39 points) and Ty Gibbs (-52 points) are still in the fight. Though trailing, both have shown signs of resurgence, particularly Gibbs, who has logged three top-five finishes in his last seven races.

With just five races to go, every stage point, pit stop, and strategy call will be pivotal. According to official NASCAR reports, the playoff picture could shift dramatically from week to week, especially if unexpected winners shake up the standings.

As the regular season nears its climax, the pressure intensifies — and so does the drama — with drivers pushing to secure their spot in the 2025 NASCAR Cup Playoff before time runs out.
