NASCAR Announces New Tournament with $1 Million Prize

NASCAR has announced a new tournament format spanning five weeks with a grand prize of $1 million — a competition that will be broadcast exclusively on TNT.

The tournament will feature various track types — from the modified Atlanta street circuit to the traditional Dover oval.

The competition format will include several key locations:

  • Atlanta Motor Speedway – Round 1
  • Chicago Street Course – Round 2
  • Sonoma Raceway – Round 3
  • Dover Motor Speedway – Round 4
  • Indianapolis Motor Speedway – Final

Chase Elliott emerges as a favorite to win the tournament — a driver who has shown remarkable consistency in the 2025 season with no DNFs and all finishes within the top 20.

His main rival, Kyle Larson — the defending Brickyard 400 champion — is also predicted to be competitive despite frequent track incidents.

“I wasn’t even aware of that money prize until a few days ago,” Elliott revealed when asked about the $1 million prize.
