Napoli Withdraws from Darwin Nunez Chase, Opts for Udinese Striker

According to Fabrizio Romano, Napoli has decided to withdraw from pursuing Darwin Nunez in this summer’s transfer window — switching to a new target from Udinese.

Last season’s Serie A champions have reached an agreement with Udinese for Lorenzo Lucca’s transfer through an initial loan worth 9 million euros, with a mandatory purchase clause of 26 million euros next season.

Antonio Conte’s team had previously approached Nunez and reportedly reached personal terms with the Liverpool striker — but differences in valuation between both clubs prevented the transfer from materializing.
