Nafuzi Zain targets Malaysia U-23 team for ASEAN Cup 2025 final

Nafuzi Zain — Malaysia U-23 national team coach has expressed his ambition to lead his team to the ASEAN Cup U-23 2025 final.

Harimau Malaya is placed in Group A alongside three other nations:

• Indonesia U-23 National Team
• Philippines
• Brunei Darussalam

The tournament will be held at two venues — Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium Jakarta and Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium Bekasi in mid-July.

In preparation for the tournament, Nafuzi Zain has called up 30 players to join the Malaysia U-23 national team squad.

“We don’t have much information about the Philippines who will be our first opponent. This makes the opening match not an easy one,” said Nafuzi Zain.

Malaysia will begin their campaign against the Philippines at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in the tournament opener.
