Nafuzi Zain Announces Final Malaysia U-23 Squad for ASEAN Cup 2025

According to Berita Harian, Nafuzi Zain has selected 23 players for Malaysia U-23 national team to compete in the 2025 ASEAN Cup in Jakarta.

The decision came after the team completed three friendly matches with mixed results — defeating Melaka FC 4-1 and PDRM FC 1-0, but suffering a 0-1 loss to Negeri Sembilan FC.

“After completing the elite competition matches followed by several warm-up games, I have decided to bring 23 best players to Jakarta,” stated Nafuzi Zain.

“For the current situation, they are the best and I am confident they possess high self-belief — the key aspect we need,” he added.

The Young Tigers’ coach acknowledged that competition in Group A would be intense, with Indonesia U-23 national team being their main focus.
