Muhammad Abu Khalil confident Malaysia U-23 can win ASEAN Cup 2025

Muhammad Abu Khalil, Malaysia U-23 midfielder, shows high optimism ahead of ASEAN Cup U-23 2025 — a tournament that will be held in Jakarta and Bekasi starting mid-July.

Malaysia U-23 is drawn in Group A alongside Indonesia, Philippines, and Brunei Darussalam for the tournament taking place at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium and Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium.

The Young Tigers squad has landed in Jakarta, with Abu Khalil — the 20-year-old player who has experience playing for FC Osaka and Nakhon Pathom United FC — ready to give maximum contribution.

“I’ve been to Japan and Thailand, so with the experience I gained during a year abroad, God willing, it can help mature my playing style,” stated Abu Khalil.
