Per ONE Esports, Moonton has announced changes to the competition framework of the MLBB Pro League (MPL) Malaysia ahead of the upcoming Season 15 next week. Starting this season, fans attending MPL Malaysia matches will have to buy tickets in order to watch the competition on the venue.

Fikri Rizal Mahruddin, lead of Moonton Games Malaysia, revealed that fans who come to watch the matches at Stadium Juara in Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur, must pay RM10 (approximately Rp37,000). He emphasized that this step is crucial to maintaining the quality of the MPL MY competition.

“We are introducing ticket pricing for MPL MY Season 15 as part of our long-term growth strategy. This decision will enable us to elevate event quality, invest in enhancing fan experiences, and boost the league’s prestige,.

Interest in MPL MY has surged dramatically over the past year. Based on statistics from Esports Chart, MPL MY Season 14 recorded 13,143,030 hours watched with a peak viewership of 631,186. The rise of fans favorite like Selangor Red Giants OG, which stunned Indonesian and Filipino squads in international competitions, has drawn attention to the league from audiences outside Malaysia.

MPL MY Season 15 will kick off on April 19, 2025, with two slots to the Esports World Cup 2025 in Saudi Arabia in June 2025 at stakes. The reigning champions SRG OG is expected to face a mounting challenge from rivals like Todak and Team Vamos, which underwent major roster overhauls earlier this year.
