Once regarded as a classic rivalry by the MLBB community, the clashes between RRQ Hoshi and EVOS saw dwindling viewer enthusiasm over the last two MPL ID seasons due to both teams’ declining performances. This time, however, it appears they’ve rediscovered their mojos and are poised to reignite the titanic rivalry fans have long awaited.

Both teams have been marred with inconsistencies in recent times. RRQ Hoshi has not dominated MPL ID since Season 11, while EVOS has repeatedly stumbled in group stages and early playoffs since 2022. At one time, though, the Blue Tigers delivered a surprise by securing the runner-up spot in Season 14 with an unexpected squad.

Entering MPL ID Season 15, both teams have shown significant improvement following major roster overhauls. RRQ has emerged as a dominant force, currently leading the standings thanks to the impressive performances of new recruits duo Arthur “Sutsujin” Sunarkho and Muhammad “Toyy” Rizki.

Their aggressive playstyle in the current meta has propelled RRQ to become the only team in MPL ID with a balanced edge in both objective control and KDA to date.

That said, EVOS—now sitting in second place—should not be underestimated. While their overall stats trail RRQ’s, their higher gold income highlights the effectiveness of their disciplined defensive strategies, which become nearly impenetrable once they secure full equipment.
