Moriyasu Promises Japan’s Attacking Play Against Indonesia

Hajime Moriyasu, head coach of the Japan national team, has confirmed that his squad will stick to an attacking strategy when they face Indonesia at Suita City Football Stadium in the final match of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

According to a report from Bolasport.com, the Samurai Blue remain highly motivated to deliver a win — especially after a recent setback against Australia.

Final match at home, but no intention to relax

This is the last match of the Asian qualification round and we, Japan national team, will play at our home ground,” said Moriyasu.

Despite already booking their place in the 2026 World Cup, Moriyasu emphasized that Japan will not take this match lightly.

Playing to honor the fans

The 56-year-old coach made it clear that his players are fully focused on delivering a convincing performance in front of their supporters.

We aim to achieve a positive result to thank the loyal fans who support us in every match,” he added.

The match against Indonesia will be a test of character for the Garuda Squad, as they face one of Asia’s top sides looking to end their qualifying campaign on a high note.
