MotoGP Silverstone: Morbidelli Injured in Final-Lap Fight with Marquez

Franco Morbidelli of Pertamina Enduro VR46 has revealed that he sustained a foot injury during his dramatic battle with Marc Marquez at the 2025 British MotoGP at Silverstone Circuit.

The intense duel for third place featured six overtakes in the final lap between Morbidelli and Marquez from Ducati Lenovo.

Marquez edges out Morbidelli by 0.017 seconds

Despite relentless pressure from Morbidelli, it was Marquez who held on to the final podium spot, finishing just 0.017 seconds ahead in a photo-finish moment.

“For the next few weeks I will be dealing with a fracture in my left foot,” wrote Morbidelli in his Instagram Story.

This unexpected revelation came just one day after the race, leaving fans in awe as Morbidelli had managed to compete fiercely while nursing a foot injury throughout the Silverstone Grand Prix.
