Franco Morbidelli Satisfied with Full Ducati Support Ahead of British GP

Franco Morbidelli has praised the level of support he’s receiving from Ducati this season, describing it as “complete and invaluable” as he heads into the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. The Italian-Brazilian rider, widely recognized as Valentino Rossi’s most senior protégé, has been given access to critical technical data — including race insights from six-time MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez.

Riding for the Mooney VR46 Racing Team, a satellite outfit closely aligned with the Ducati factory squad, Morbidelli has emerged as one of the season’s standout performers. The team has provided him with a highly competitive package, allowing him to extract consistent speed and performance across different circuits.

Podium consistency highlights Morbidelli’s resurgence

So far in the 2025 MotoGP season, Morbidelli has recorded two full-race podium finishes and one podium in a sprint race. He currently holds fourth place in the championship standings with 85 points — a significant turnaround from previous seasons where injuries and machinery setbacks affected his results.

His teammate, Fabio Di Giannantonio, has also shown steady form, boosting morale within the VR46 camp as they aim to challenge both factory teams and top-tier riders.

Eyeing redemption at Silverstone after French GP struggles

Despite a challenging weekend at the French Grand Prix, where Morbidelli struggled with setup and race pace, the 29-year-old remains confident. He views Silverstone as a great opportunity to bounce back, bolstered by strategic preparation and detailed analysis.

“I’m in one of the best moments of my MotoGP career. We’re working well as a team, and I’m confident heading into Silverstone,” said Morbidelli.

“The support from Ducati, including feedback from Marc Marquez, is making a real difference.”

The VR46 Racing Team is solidifying its status as a serious contender in the MotoGP paddock, and Morbidelli is determined to keep up the momentum. His main goal for the British GP is to maximize qualifying performance and maintain strong race pace over Silverstone’s demanding layout.
