Monster Energy Yamaha Satisfied with M1 Engine Performance at Jerez Test

According to the latest reports, the Monster Energy Yamaha team has expressed deep satisfaction with the performance of the M1 engine during the recent MotoGP test session at Jerez. This positive outcome follows Fabio Quartararo’s podium success at the Spanish Grand Prix.

Quartararo’s Performance at Jerez Test

During the testing session, Fabio Quartararo managed to secure the third-best time, trailing the leader, Marc Marquez of Ducati Lenovo, by 0.4 seconds. Despite the relatively small time gap, the main focus of the test wasn’t on lap times but on the overall engine performance.

Team Focus on Engine Evaluation

Quartararo and his teammate, Alex Rins, prioritized evaluating the engine’s performance, which remains a critical aspect for the Iwata-based manufacturer. Unlike other teams that use the V4 configuration, Yamaha continued using the updated inline-4 cylinder engine, which they believe suits their style of racing.
