Mohamed Salah Keeps His Promise, Liverpool Win the League

Mohamed Salah fulfilled his promise to Liverpool fans made at the end of last season — The Reds secured the Premier League title after defeating Tottenham Hotspur 5-1.

The promise came after a disappointing season last year, when Liverpool only managed to win the EFL Cup.

“We know trophies are the most important thing and we will do everything to achieve that next season,” wrote Salah at the time.

“Our fans deserve it and we will fight with everything we have.”

After securing their record-equalling 20th league title, Salah celebrated by posting a selfie with fans at Anfield. Meanwhile, his teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold — rumored to be joining Real Madrid — shared a video of the team’s celebrations in the dressing room.
