Popular North American MLBB pros Michael “Mobazane” Cosgun recently shed light on what he described as the “dire state” of MLBB esports in the region.

During his latest livestream session, the 23-year-old player claimed that the competitive level of MLBB in NA has been steadily declining, prompting him to consider pursuing opportunities abroad. He also criticized the increasingly uncertain future of MLBB esports in NA, calling the situation as disheartening.

Beyond exploring moves to other leagues, Mobazane expressed interest in ‘returning’ to Honor of Kings, MLBB’s biggest competitor, citing its more robust and promising esports ecosystem for new talent. Notably, Zane began his mobile gaming career in Arena of Valor, which is HoK’s global counterpart.

His intentions were hinted at in recent social media activity. While he continues to stream MLBB content, Zane has also been actively playing HoK, quickly climbing to high tiers with his BloodThirstyKing mates.

Zane’s frustrations align with growing criticism toward NA’s premier MLBB circuit, the NACT, which recently faced backlash over leaks revealing a drastically reduced prize pool compared to previous seasons. Without major reforms, experts warn that Moonton will struggle to compete with HoK’s thriving ecosystem, which continues to attract mobile esports talent.
