Mobazane Mocks Moonton Ban

Michael “Mobazane” Cosgun of MLBB’s S8UL Esports has publicly responded on Moonton Games‘ decision to disqualify his team from next week’s MSC x EWC 2025 tournament in Saudi Arabia.

The ban follows Moonton’s ruling that Mobazane and his teammate Jang “Hoon” Seong-hun violated their official partnership contract by promoting Honor of Kings – MLBB’s major competitor.

The contract reportedly restricts players from promoting other games outside the MSC x EWC 2025 circuit schedule. This has left S8UL management and fans confused about the final decision, as Mobazane and Hoon streamed the HoK promotion just a few days before the end of June – a timeframe they believed didn’t breach Moonton’s rules.

Neither S8UL management nor the players have issued official statements regarding the sanctions. However, Mobazane, known for his outspoken nature, showed no regret on his personal social media. He sarcastically dismissed Moonton’s rules for the MSC as “ridiculous.” Hoon, on the other hand, has remained silent about it.

As a result of the disqualification, Moonton has invited the NACT Spring 2025 runner-up, Area 77, to take S8UL’s slot at the tournament.
