Miposhka Considers Retirement from Team Spirit This Year

Team Spirit’s veteran Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov has shared words regarding his future as a pro Dota 2 player after the victory at Dota 2 EWC 2025.

Following the finals in Saudi Arabia, Miposhka was asked about his plans for The International 2025, scheduled for September in Germany. He briefly stated his team will do their best and decide their future after the tournament.

He further revealed that if they win TI this year, he intends to retire from both Team Spirit and professional Dota 2. The Russian player also mentioned that some of his teammates share similar thoughts.

This news comes as a major surprise, given Miposhka’s significant influence within the Spirit squad. However, his teammates likely aren’t shocked, as he’s known for playing actively throughout his career, rarely taking breaks.

Winning The International 2025 would provide a perfect conclusion for both Miposhka and Team Spirit. This victory would establish them as the first team in Dota 2 esports history to secure three world championships, surpassing OG, who also hold two titles but are now considered a shadow of their former selves.
