Prediksi Meksiko vs Republik Dominika di Piala Emas CONCACAF (15.06.2025)

On Sunday, June 15 at 09:15 WIB, the national teams of Mexico and the Dominican Republic will face off at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, in the first round of Group A of the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup. This group also includes Costa Rica and Suriname.

The Mexican national team is the favorite to win the entire tournament. So it’s no surprise that in the Mexico vs Dominican Republic match, bookmakers are entirely backing “El Tri.” A bet on a Mexican win comes with tiny odds of 1.15, a draw is at 7.75, and a victory for “Quisqueyanos” stands at 18.00. The over 2.5 goals market is priced at 1.56, indicating expectations for a high-scoring game. However, most of the goals are expected to come from the favorite, and both teams to score is valued at a high 2.63.

Mexico

Javier Aguirre’s team has arrived in the United States to defend the title they won two years ago. Recently, Mexico also triumphed in the CONCACAF Nations League, defeating Canada 2-0 in the semifinals and Panama 2-1 in the final. In that decisive match, 34-year-old Fulham striker Raul Jimenez scored a brace, reaffirming his role as the main attacking threat for “El Tri.” Also worth highlighting is the strong performance of team captain Edson Alvarez, a midfielder for West Ham. Overall, Mexico currently has a well-balanced and experienced squad, and it’s no surprise they’re considered the main contender for the Gold Cup.

Dominican Republic

Marcelo Neveleff’s team is far more modest compared to their opponents. Some notable names include Junior Firpo of Leeds United, Pablo Rosario from Nice, and Peter Federico from Getafe. The “white-blue-red” have qualified for the final tournament of the CONCACAF Gold Cup for the first time, after finishing first in their Nations League group in League B. They won all six matches against Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, and Bermuda. However, it’s obvious that the level of competition in the main tournament will be significantly tougher.

Stats and Head-to-Head Record

Due to the vastly different status of these teams, they have never met in an official match before.

Prediction

Mexico is a veteran participant in the Gold Cup and the most successful team in the competition’s history. During the group stage, “El Tri” rarely goes all-out but still manages to score plenty of goals. Given how much weaker their opponent is, we expect a dominant performance. A good bet could be on Mexico’s individual total goals over 2.5, at odds of 1.84.
