Men’s Doubles BWF Rankings Shift After Thailand Open

According to the latest world badminton rankings, there has been a significant shift in the men’s doubles category following the Thailand Open 2025. Kim Astrup/Anders Skaarup Rasmussen of Denmark now hold the world number one spot, followed by Malaysia’s Goh Sze Fei/Nur Izzuddin in second place.

Another Malaysian pair, Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik, coached by Indonesian coach Herry Iman Pierngadi, climbed to third place after winning the Thailand Open 2025. They overtook Liang Wei Keng/Wang Chang of China and Indonesia’s Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto.

Fajar/Rian, representing Indonesia, dropped to fifth place after losing in the semifinals of the Thailand Open 2025. They were defeated by unseeded Danish duo William Kryger Boe/Christian Faust Kjaer with scores of 13-21, 12-21.

Meanwhile, Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi of Indonesia moved up one spot to seventh place despite being knocked out in the quarterfinals.
