Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi delivered an outstanding performance in Daejeon JungKwanJang Red Sparks‘ dramatic victory during the third leg of the Korean Volleyball League 2024-2025 finals at Chungmu Gymnasium, Daejeon.

The underdog Red Sparks team — making their first finals appearance in 13 years — managed to turn the tables against Incheon Heungkuk Life Pink Spiders with a score of 3-2 (21-25, 34-36, 25-22, 25-19, 15-11).

The situation became more challenging for Red Sparks when their captain and key setter, Yeum Hye-seon — who had been dealing with knee issues since the playoffs — required treatment after a landing mishap at the end of the first set.

Despite shedding tears due to her injury, Yeum Hye-seon continued to fight alongside her team to secure this historic victory. This victory keeps the championship series alive, pushing it to a decisive fourth leg.

Megawati, the Indonesian opposite spiker, has been pivotal in Red Sparks’ success throughout the season and continues to draw praise for her skill, consistency, and mental resilience under pressure — marking her as one of the standout international players in the league.
