Megawati Sends Special Message to Bukilic After Korean Volleyball League Ends

Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi delivered a special message to her teammate Vanja Bukilic after both completed their 2024-2025 Korean Volleyball League season with Daejeon JungKwanJang Red Sparks.

The attacking duo had built a reputation as lethal “twin cannons” — leading Red Sparks to advance to this season’s Korean Volleyball League finals.

Coach Ko Hee-jin’s team had to settle for runner-up position after losing 2-3 on aggregate to Incheon Heungkuk Life Pink Spiders led by Kim Yeon-koung in the best of five format.

Despite being hampered by injury towards the end of the fifth round, Bukilic managed to return for playoffs and continue her impressive collaboration with Megawati in attack.

The journey of this deadly duo will come to an end — both will not represent Red Sparks next season, with Megawati making a surprising decision to reject contract extension from the club.
