Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi returns home after completing her journey with Daejeon JungKwanJang Red Sparks as runners-up in the 2024-2025 Korean Volleyball League, as reported by KBS Sports.

The opposite hitter departed South Korea through Incheon International Airport — concluding her two-season adventure filled with achievements with the Korean club.

During her career with Red Sparks, Megawati managed to carve historic milestones — leading her team to their first playoff appearance in seven years last season and advancing to their first finals in 13 years this season.

“I’m really happy to have spent two seasons here. From initially being hesitant but managing to stay for two years. I was also able to show my performance to all of you. I’m very happy and grateful to have participated in the Korean Volleyball League and make many people know about me,” expressed Megawati before her departure.

Known for her powerful spikes and charismatic presence on the court—Megawati has become a fan favorite in South Korea and a proud representative of Indonesian volleyball on the international stage.

With her contract now complete, she is expected to evaluate future opportunities—both with clubs abroad and the Indonesian national team—as her profile continues to rise.
