GOR Jatidiri Semarang is set to host the second series of the Proliga 2025 Final Four, starting tomorrow. Four matches will take place on the opening day — a packed schedule due to the venue being reserved for a football match the following day.

The spotlight of the Semarang series falls on Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi, the national volleyball star who recently led Daejeon JungKwanJang Red Sparks to a runner-up finish in the Korean Volleyball League. Gresik Petrokimia Pupuk Indonesia head coach, Jeff Jiang Jie, confirmed that Megawati has recovered from a knee injury and is ready to play in this crucial stage.

With Megawati back in the squad, Petrokimia faces a major challenge — they must defeat Jakarta Electric PLN to keep their hopes alive of reaching this year’s Proliga grand final.

According to Petrokimia team captain, Titis Dwi Ariyanti, Megawati’s return has had a positive impact on the team.

“We are very grateful that Megawati has fully recovered. She is a key player and her presence boosts the team’s spirit,” said Titis, as quoted by ANTARA News. She added that the team has prepared thoroughly and is focused on delivering consistent performances to achieve the best possible results in Semarang.

The team’s main focus now is on maintaining consistency and securing a crucial win to reach the final.
