Megawati Hangestri officially joins Turkish volleyball club Manisa BBSK

Turkish volleyball club Manisa BBSK has announced reaching an agreement with Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi — the athlete from Jember who will strengthen their team for the 2025-2026 season.

This announcement coincides with Megawati’s wedding day held today. The former Daejeon Red Sparks player will compete in Kandilar 1. Ligi — the second tier competition of Turkish Volleyball League.

“We have finally reached an agreement with Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi who previously played for Daejeon Red Sparks South Korea,” stated Manisa BBSK’s official announcement.

Turkish Volleyball League is known as one of the world’s best competitions, on par with Italian and Japanese leagues — making this a significant step in Megawati’s career.
