Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi — a volleyball player from Jember, East Java — officially ended her tenure with Daejeon JungKwanJang Red Sparks on Thursday (10/4).

The first hijab-wearing athlete in Korean V-League history has shown remarkable achievements during her two-season career in the Land of Ginseng — her accomplishments include the highest attack success rate record in this season’s regular phase.

During her time in Korea, Megawati collected three round MVP awards — her on-court excellence was matched by her ability to build strong relationships with teammates.

All Red Sparks team members have bid farewell to Megawati who will not extend her contract for the 2025-2026 season.
