Mees Hilgers still waiting for new club offers in summer transfer window

Indonesian National Team defender Mees Hilgers has yet to receive any serious offers from other clubs during this summer transfer window, despite his desire to leave FC Twente earlier than his contract ending in 2026.

The Indonesian-blooded defender hopes to seek new challenges outside the Netherlands — however after a month into the transfer window, no concrete offers have materialized.

“Mees has indicated several times that he wants to take the next step and we have followed up on that in the transfer market,” stated FC Twente Technical Director, Jan Streuer.
