McLaren Reveals New Hypercar for WEC Championship Comeback

McLaren has just unveiled a full-scale model of their LMDh prototype car that will compete in WEC’s Hypercar class from 2027. This launch coincides with the 30th anniversary celebration of their historic Le Mans victory with the F1 GTR.

Zak Brown, McLaren Racing CEO, announced a special customer program offering the opportunity to own a track version of this Hypercar. The car, developed in partnership with Dallara — features an identical twin-turbo V6 engine to its racing counterpart.

This exclusive program includes:
* Limited production of only 10 units
* Two-year track day program
* Full support from McLaren Automotive

Nick Collins, McLaren Group Holdings leader, emphasized that Project Endurance will deliver an unforgettable driving experience. United Autosports has been confirmed as the factory team for the WEC program, with intensive development of the race car scheduled to begin next March.
