McLaren leads technical changes ahead of Canadian GP with new front wing

McLaren emerges as the innovation leader ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix with its latest front wing design — one of five teams registering technical changes for the Montreal circuit.

These changes come following new regulations limiting front wing flexibility from 15mm to 10mm under 1000N load. McLaren has introduced revised front wing geometry with ‘mermaid tail’ elements on the endplate to enhance aerodynamic performance.

The team also brings an updated medium-downforce rear wing and front suspension system modifications — both designed to provide broader performance range across various circuits.

Mercedes brings significant changes with larger front brake inlets and outlets, plus floor revisions with lower-camber edge wing. Aston Martin focuses on front brake exit updates, while Alpine introduces a shorter upper front wing flap.

Racing Bulls presents new front wing options and modifications to rear wheel hub winglets — changes designed to increase rear downforce through more consistent vortex flow.
