Mbappe absent from Real Madrid squad ahead of Club World Cup match

Kylian Mbappe has been left out of Real Madrid’s 23-man squad announced by coach Xabi Alonso for their final Group H match against RB Salzburg in the 2025 Club World Cup.

The French national team striker — who has just returned to team training after hospitalization — will miss tomorrow’s fixture.

Mbappe’s absence stems from his ongoing recovery process — the 26-year-old striker previously suffered from gastroenteritis which forced him to miss two group stage matches.

Despite rejoining Los Blancos’ training sessions, Alonso has opted not to risk his key player against the Austrian representatives.
