Mayla Cahya wins women’s singles title at 2025 Kapolri Cup

Mayla Cahya Afilian Pratiwi — an athlete from PB Mutiara Cardinal Bandung — has claimed the women’s singles youth title at the 2025 Kapolri Cup held at Jakarta State University Sports Hall.

The 17-year-old badminton player defeated Tangerang Selatan’s representative, Wening Arviani Sabrina, in a three-game final match with scores of 21-18, 18-21, 21-14.

This achievement adds to Mayla’s impressive record, having won the Central Java National Circuit A in Surakarta two weeks ago — confirming her consistency at the national junior level.

“My next target is to maintain these titles and hopefully get called up to the national training center,” Mayla stated.

Born on May 20, 2008, she trains at the same club as Gregoria Mariska Tunjung and currently holds the fifth position in the national youth women’s singles rankings.
