Two Sides of Max Verstappen in Formula 1

Max Verstappen continues to show two contrasting personas in Formula 1. On the track, the Dutchman remains passionate and competitive. Off the track, however, he appears increasingly frustrated with the sport’s direction and politics.

Red Bull Racing is currently facing serious challenges with their 2025 car. The balance issues and tire degradation clearly observed in Bahrain forced the team into emergency discussions for short-term fixes.

Despite swirling rumors — including a potential team switch or even a sabbatical — Verstappen reaffirmed his commitment.

“A lot of people are talking about it, except me. I just want to focus on my car and work with the team,” he said.

He added:

“Every driver wants to be in the fastest car of course, that’s pretty normal. But that doesn’t mean you should just run away when things don’t go your way.”

The four-time world champion also expressed dissatisfaction with new FIA rules and social media pressure. Although Verstappen is under contract until 2028, he seems more cautious in public statements to avoid penalties.
