Max Verstappen opts for silence at Austrian GP press conference

Max Verstappen took a different approach at the Austrian GP press conference — the Red Bull driver chose to answer “no comment” to every FIA-related question.

When asked about potentially changing his racing style due to nearing the penalty points limit, Verstappen responded firmly:

“Are you joking? Is this a trap? I get this question every week. I have nothing to add.”

In a separate session with Dutch media in the Red Bull area, the world champion explained his stance — repetitive questions from previous GP and concerns about consequences of FIA criticism.

The released FIA document states that comments deemed harmful to the federation can result in fines up to €5,000 or more severe penalties — though no F1 driver has received penalty points for criticizing regulations.

Since the Singapore GP incident several months ago, Verstappen has been more cautious in official FIA forums — the Dutch driver preferring to hold separate media sessions in the Red Bull area.
