Mauricio Souza begins Persija Jakarta preparation for next Liga 1 season

Starting preparation for Liga 1 2025/2026, Mauricio Souza led Persija Jakarta’s first training session at Persija Training Ground — attended by 24 squad players.

The Brazilian coach has prepared a special strategy for the Macan Kemayoran team — focusing on more dominant ball possession in the game.

“I want my team to always have as much ball possession as possible. Aggressive possession, not just passing around in circles,” explained Souza.

With the available preparation time, the capital city team has the opportunity to refine team composition — while building more effective attacking patterns ahead of competition.
