Massimo Luongo to Leave Ipswich Town After 2024/2025

According to the club’s official website, Massimo Luongo — a midfielder for the Australia national football team of Indonesian descent — will leave Ipswich Town at the end of the 2024/2025 season.

“As previously communicated, Massimo Luongo will depart Town this summer,” the club said in an official statement.

The 32-year-old player, whose mother is of Indonesian descent, joined Ipswich Town approximately two and a half years ago.

This season, Luongo made only 11 appearances and played a total of 196 minutes, not enough to help his team remain in the Premier League.

Letting go of Luongo is part of a broader Ipswich Town squad overhaul following their relegation to the English Championship, after finishing 19th in the final standings.
