Mason Mount Ready to Shine in Europa League Final

Mason Mount has opened up about his challenging start at Manchester United — the 26-year-old midfielder has made only 45 appearances since his £60 million move from Chelsea two years ago.

Now fully fit, Mount is ready to feature in the Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur, having played in three of the last four matches under manager Ruben Amorim.

“I spent so many days at Carrington sitting in the treatment room when I wanted to train. I sat in the stands watching games when I wanted to play,” Mount revealed.

Early injuries sidelined him for a total of seven months over the past two seasons, but he’s now confident he can make a meaningful impact for Manchester United.

Wearing the iconic No. 7 shirt — once donned by George Best and Cristiano Ronaldo — Mount remains focused on winning the Europa League and helping United qualify for the Champions League.

“It’s not been an easy season, but we’ll give everything to win this final. We know our league performance hasn’t been good enough, and that’s something we must fix next season,” he added.
