Maruarar Sirat announces increased prize money for 2025 President’s Cup

Maruarar Sirat, Chairman of the 2025 President’s Cup Steering Committee, announced an increase in tournament prize money — the winning prize has risen to 5.5 billion IDR.

This prestigious tournament will commence at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta — continuing at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium with a competition format involving six participating teams.

This year’s competition features an interesting mix of local and international teams:

  • Oxford United (England)
  • Port FC (Thailand)
  • Persib Bandung
  • Arema FC
  • Dewa United
  • Indonesia All Stars

“If I’m not mistaken, what was the prize money in the last President’s Cup? Does anyone remember how much for first place? Who was the last winner? (Arema) How much did they get? 5 billion? 5.25 billion?” stated Maruarar during a press conference at Menara Danareksa, Jakarta.

This prize increase demonstrates the organizers’ commitment — despite the reduction in participants from eight teams in the previous edition to six teams this year.
