Maruarar Sirait reveals details of 2025 President’s Cup organization

Maruarar Sirait, Chairman of the 2025 President’s Cup Steering Committee (SC), has outlined the details of the pre-season tournament that will be held at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium — not at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA) Stadium.

This tournament draws special attention due to its new format featuring international clubs — not just teams from Indonesia’s Liga 1. Sirait confirmed that the competition will be contested by six participating teams.

Port FC from Thailand has officially announced their participation in this tournament. Meanwhile, Oxford United — an English club, is rumored to be the second international club to join, although there has been no official confirmation yet.
