Maruarar Sirait proposes foreign referees for 2025 President’s Cup

Maruarar Sirait, Chairman of the 2025 President’s Cup Steering Committee, has proposed bringing foreign referees for the pre-season tournament scheduled for next month.

This prestigious competition will begin at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta — continuing with matches at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Bandung.

The Liga 1 2025/2026 pre-season tournament will feature six participating teams:

• Oxford United (England)
• Port FC (Thailand)
• Persib Bandung
• Arema FC
• Dewa United
• Indonesia All Stars

The Indonesia All Stars team will showcase a combination of young talents and national team players — excluding national players already registered with other participating clubs.

The committee has prepared a total prize pool of 11.5 billion rupiah with the champion receiving 5.5 billion rupiah — a larger amount compared to the previous edition.
