Gabriel Martinelli became Arsenal‘s hero by scoring the winning goal in their 2-1 victory against Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, as reported by TNT Sports.

This victory propelled Arsenal into the Champions League semifinals for the first time since 2009 with a 5-1 aggregate win over the defending champions — an achievement reminiscent of Thierry Henry‘s legendary goal at the same stadium nearly two decades ago.

“It’s a dream to be experiencing this, to score here,” Martinelli expressed proudly.

“This is one of those nights that will stay with us forever. We know our opponents’ history and tradition in the Champions League — beating Real Madrid in a knockout game is a very special achievement,” he added.

Arsenal will now face Paris Saint-Germain in the semifinals, with the first leg to be held at Emirates Stadium in the coming days.
