Marselino Ferdinan finally made his first-team debut for Oxford United in the Championship, the second tier of English football, during a match against Swansea City on Saturday (May 3).

The Indonesia national football team midfielder came on as a substitute for Ole Romeny in the 77th minute of a thrilling 3-3 draw. In just 13 minutes of action, Marselino delivered a promising performance, recording five accurate passes and seven touches.

According to Fotmob, the 20-year-old also managed to:

  • Win one tackle
  • Recover possession twice

Prior to this debut, Marselino had mainly featured for Oxford United’s academy squad. The club’s official website praised his debut, highlighting his international background with Indonesia.
