Mario Suryo Aji undergoes shoulder injury recovery after surgery

According to PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM), Indonesian Moto2 rider Mario Suryo Aji is currently undergoing shoulder injury recovery — an incident that occurred during the race at Lusail Circuit, Qatar.

AHM’s Senior Head of Motor Sports and Safety Riding, Anggono Irawan, provided an update about the 21-year-old rider’s condition.

“Mario Aji has a shoulder injury, he has completed surgery on May 30,” Anggono stated in a virtual interview.

Prior to the Qatar incident, Mario Suryo Aji also experienced an accident during pre-season testing at Jerez Circuit, Spain — a condition that affected his early performance in the 2025 season.

“Mario Aji wasn’t actually 100 percent fit at the start of the season, he was only 80 percent fit during his Moto2 debut,” Anggono added.
