Maresca reveals future plans for Ecuadorian wonderkid at Chelsea

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has revealed plans for Ecuadorian wonderkid Kendry Paez — the 18-year-old talent currently in The Blues’ squad for the Club World Cup.

Despite joining the first team for training sessions, Paez was not registered for the competition — a situation that triggered disappointment from the young player, especially after sacrificing his summer vacation.

Responding to the player’s dissatisfaction, club management and Maresca held a special meeting with the former Independiente del Valle player to discuss his situation at the club.

Paez’s status at Chelsea remains unclear ahead of the summer transfer window, with the coach and club management still considering various options for the talented player’s future.
