Marcus Rashford completes loan move to Barcelona

Marcus Rashford has officially joined Barcelona on loan from Manchester United — the deal includes a €30 million permanent purchase option for next season.

The 27-year-old forward will wear the number 14 jersey at the Catalan club — he arrived in Barcelona on Sunday to complete the transfer process before the team departs for their preseason tour in Asia.

“It’s a club where dreams come true, they win big trophies and what the club stands for really means a lot to me,” Rashford told Barça TV.

The English striker joins Barcelona’s attacking lineup that already features:

• Raphinha
• Robert Lewandowski
• Ferran Torres
• Dani Olmo

During his Manchester United career, Rashford scored 138 goals in 426 appearances — however, he has been out of the first team for the past seven months under coach Ruben Amorim.
